Wife caught on camera attempting to poison husband with Drano

The audacity of her claiming she didn't do it when there's video footage of her doing it is astounding.

What a bitch , she needs to be in prison for a very very long time. Horrific

by Anonymousreply 4August 11, 2022 11:45 PM

We ‘magnify” harm by men? The number of crimes and acts of violence committed by men “magnify” the harm by men. Regardless, any psycho, male or female, needs to be removed from society.

by Anonymousreply 6August 12, 2022 12:04 AM

I hope Dateline does a story on this.

by Anonymousreply 7August 12, 2022 12:10 AM

He should have done that move that Lucy and Ricky did on I Love Lucy, when she thought he was trying to poison her. The old "switch the glasses around" ploy. Or hand her the glass and say, "you drink first". That bitch would be in several pieces if she was my wife.

by Anonymousreply 8August 12, 2022 12:11 AM

R6 lol I saw that too. They always try to focus on women doing harm and then claim it somehow makes men innocent or less likely to cause harm. Ah no, doesn't taste work that way, no matter how hard you try to spin it.

by Anonymousreply 9August 12, 2022 12:21 AM

Reminiscent of the American expat wife who made a deadly strawberry milkshake for her husband then rolled his body up in a rug and put it in a storage unit.

by Anonymousreply 10August 12, 2022 12:26 AM

What the hell have they been putting in my booze, man?!!

by Anonymousreply 11August 12, 2022 12:32 AM

Women love their poison. We had one where I live who poisoned 3 husbands and boyfriends. She nearly got away with it but they were all cops. This was around 1987

by Anonymousreply 12August 12, 2022 12:32 AM

A surprising number of doctors commit murder. I guess it's because they aren't queasy.

by Anonymousreply 14August 12, 2022 12:37 AM

Incredible she's claiming innocence when she is very clear on film adding lye to his beverages straight from the big red bottle, multiple times. Brass neck, that one.

by Anonymousreply 15August 12, 2022 12:41 AM

Isn’t that like drinking acid? She couldn’t think of something other than draino to poison him

by Anonymousreply 16August 12, 2022 12:45 AM

The stereotype of Asian women is that they are very submissive. They are hardcore, bitch.

by Anonymousreply 17August 12, 2022 12:54 AM

R16 Lye is actually the opposite of acid, a highly caustic alkali. But the idea of injesting it, cannot even imagine the damage it must do to soft tissues -- ugh!

Surely as a doctor she could have had access to many other less brutal (and detectable) poisons.

by Anonymousreply 18August 12, 2022 1:02 AM

In most of the Datelines, they were big on anti-freeze usually in iced tea.

by Anonymousreply 19August 12, 2022 1:17 AM

R19 Ethylene Glycol is cheap and has a sugary taste, easy to hide in a sweet beverage. But it also generally leaves telltale crystals in the liver so a proper autopsy can usually detect it. Seems like poisoners don't want to just kill their spouses, but make them suffer in the process.

by Anonymousreply 20August 12, 2022 1:23 AM

Thanks R20. I'm a true crime fan.

by Anonymousreply 21August 12, 2022 1:29 AM

What’s fascinating is that men love marrying crazy bitches.

The nice ones remain single and the genuinely crazy ones are excellent at hiding it and end up snagging the guys up.

Whatever. Being single isn’t so terrible. I’m finally somewhat adjusting to the idea that it won’t be the end of the world if I remain unattached. I’m not a genuine bitch, and I can’t compete with women who are bitches, and much younger.

Cannot even imagine poisoning someone I detest. This is one stone cold broad.

🤷🏻‍♀️

Like the mom in Sixth Sense who poisons her daughter

by Anonymousreply 23August 12, 2022 1:36 AM

I'm worried for R20's loved ones. Sounds like he's been researching...

by Anonymousreply 24August 12, 2022 1:37 AM

R7, that’s what’s always kills me ( haha) about these mail-order brides and overseas “dating services”. These stupid American men think that Asian women are subservient and meek, or that Eastern European women are happy to be maids and sex slaves.

“Oh uhh durrr American women want to wear the pants, Polish/Russian/Latvian women know their place”.

HAHAHAHAHHAA. Those stupid men deserve exactly what they get. Idiots. Those women are tough as nails.

by Anonymousreply 25August 12, 2022 1:38 AM

She decided to take the plunge.

by Anonymousreply 26August 12, 2022 1:38 AM

And her husband was also a doctor as I understand it -- I would think that would be a very risky choice of victim as he presumably has daily access to medical diagnostic services and specialists.

R24 Well the poor ones are safe...

by Anonymousreply 27August 12, 2022 1:42 AM

She was roto-rootering her husband with Drano.

by Anonymousreply 28August 12, 2022 1:45 AM

Maybe she was inspired by Issy Blow’s biography.

by Anonymousreply 29August 12, 2022 1:51 AM

She should've used Rid-O-Rat. Then her defense could've been "I thought it was Skinny n Sweet.

by Anonymousreply 30August 12, 2022 1:51 AM

R25, they are both Asian.

by Anonymousreply 31August 12, 2022 1:53 AM

She’s out on bail! How are you filmed pouring poison into your husband’s food and get out on bond? She should head to China and blend in.

by Anonymousreply 32August 12, 2022 1:58 AM

One of the worst cases of this was the Staudte family murders. An episode of 20/20 was dedicated to the story last year.

Diane Staudte was a prominent member of the community church. Her husband was an alcoholic who played guitar at the local bar and didn't work much, so she put antifreeze in his energy drinks and killed him. Five months later, she used the same method to poison and kill their 26-year-old son, who had autism. Then her 24-year-old daughter started to get sick and she was hospitalized. Her church pastor had become suspicious of what was going on, and he called the police anonymously to leave a tip. This tip saved the life of the young woman in the hospital, but she still suffered so much injury that she now lives in a nursing home.

Diane talked recruited her favorite daughter (22 at the time) to help her carry out the killings. Next, they had planned to kill Diane's ten-year old daughter.

The craziest part? Diane made a living as a nurse. When she was interviewed in prison for the 20/20 episode, the interviewer showed her a photo of her daughter who lives in the nursing home. Diane's response: "She's gained weight!"

“…began adding Drano to his drinks in March and April of this year.“

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 34August 12, 2022 2:05 AM

$30, 000 bail? That's outrageous.

by Anonymousreply 35August 12, 2022 2:05 AM

Drano is for suicide not murder.

by Anonymousreply 39August 12, 2022 3:27 AM

If I had those kitchen cabinets, I'd want the Drano to take me out.

by Anonymousreply 40August 12, 2022 3:48 AM

Please. She was trying to build his immunity to Drano.

by Anonymousreply 41August 12, 2022 3:51 AM

How do you get out on 30K for attempted murder???

by Anonymousreply 42August 12, 2022 3:54 AM

Can anyone tell from the pictures... What's on the menu besides Drano?

by Anonymousreply 43August 12, 2022 3:57 AM

Should’ve gone with the Skinny & Sweet.

by Anonymousreply 44August 12, 2022 4:46 AM

...and if you were my wife, I'd drink it.

by Anonymousreply 45August 12, 2022 4:55 AM

Another doctor murder, though this time the husband was the killer. He was an anesthesiologist and used laboratory-grade carbon monoxide he'd specially ordered for "research" purposes.
