The only thing the woman really said:

I think he is handsome enough, but he would not be whom I would cast as "hot priest." He was quite good, though. And I think it is surprising that he would be on Grindr. He has been a celebrity for a fairly long time in England, and, I would have thought, he would have had people lined up to sleep with him. Celebrity doesn't come with a dating service, but it does come with a lot of people who would want to sleep with you because you are famous.

Is Andrew Scott officially out? If not, didn't she just out him in her national shitpaper? The Brits have very weird taste. I've liked Scott in the films and TV shows I watched but I just saw one of the NT Live broadcasts - a production of Noel Coward's PRESENT LAUGHTER where he played the lead.
He carried on like a whirling dervish constantly on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and he was exhausting to watch. It didn't help that some of the cast had a tendency to constantly shout their lines. Not a good production unfortunately.

I don't know why you can't see it, but I've thought he was hot ever since his first appearance as Moriarty. I think he's gotten even better with age. And I'm an American, not a Brit.
But it's all subjective, anyway. Why ask why you can't see it? People like what they like. Even those whom "most" acclaim as hot don't get 100% guys agreeing. You can see that here on DL. Anytime someone posts a link to pix of some guy they think is the hottest thing ever, there are people who "meh" all over the thread.
