I mean he still appears from time to time on various talk shows giving his supposed expertise. As a kid in the 90s I had a crush on him and found him to be both handsome and in good shape. I used to watch his Celeb Rehab show but grew skeptical given the several deaths and run-ins with the law cast members had following their time with him.
The other day I checked his twitter and OMFG. While he's not retweeting Trump and all that, he's basically Trump-adjacent. He appears on some Fox "News" shows like "The Five". He has or had Leeanne Tweeden (the now questionable Al Franken accuser) as a co-host on his radio show. He has other deplorable friends too
I saw him retweet a fucking Breitbart article that quoted him the other day.
His newest crusades are endlessly talking about the homeless issue in LA and he has a theory that LA could suffer from the bubonic plague because of rats
yet at the same time he still has a number of mainstream celebrity friends who are not deplorables. It's like they either overlook or don't follow his recent activity.
Why hasn't he been ostracized? Is it just because he's not retweeting Trump's racism?

I remember him saying a few years ago that the other big news outlets wouldn't have him on anymore. That's why he's on Fox so much. Well, I guess they also like that he's criticizing a liberal city in a liberal state.
If you listen to what he says about the homeless problem in L.A., he does seem to have a point. He says that it isn't a housing crisis that's the problem, which is what we keep hearing, it's an addiction problem. That gels with my experience living in L.A. A lot of the people who are obviously homeless also seem crazy and on drugs. Yet, all we hear about is how they're homeless because of no housing. If they're addicted and on drugs, how are they going to get a job to keep a roof over their heads.
The rat population is also exploding in L.A. There are diseases that are endemic to the area, including the plague. Once a certain percentage of the rat population gets the plague, it starts spreading rapidly. The rats get it, then the fleas, and then pets and people.
He lays it all out pretty well. And, no, I'm not a Trumper.

I caught on to him years ago, have always thought there was something phony about him and Dr Phil. To me their both in the same boat.

As much as I do believe he’s a piece of work only looking for the limelight, working with addicts for so many years must take a toll. I can’t be a bystander in a room with a hardcore obvious addict for more than an hour before I get pissed off or anxious.
