Why do people think Mike White is such a genius now?

His first big movie, Chuck and Buck, was about a mentally challenged stalker who forced a grown straight man to have sex with him. He made us all look bad with that "Buck" character. Fuck him,

Even at the end, when "Buck" had finally gotten a date with another man, he still seemed borderline insane and that he had just simply found another victim. I watched this film when it first came out and thought it was darkly quirky. But after watching it again tonight, I just found it was completely insulting--equating gay men with mentally challenged misfits. Thanks, Mike!

I suspect the very unattractive Mike uses his films to exact revenge for all the gay men who have turned him down. He seems like a very troubled man.

I really like Enlightened. Beatriz at Dinner is a contrived cringe fest, I couldn’t even finish it. I think the 2nd season of The White Lotus is the least accomplished thing he’s done, probably why it’s so popular.
