They all have the most current gay hair cuts.
Even the ones who are straight (or at least married women) look like they'd fit in in any gay bar in the world.

In gymnastics, you get points for ALL aspects of your presentation, op.
That includes hygiene and grooming.
Same for figure skating.
Gymnastics and Figure Skating are the two sports where it actually pays to be good looking.

Male gymnasts pretty much come to the gay male physical ideal. ervery muscle of their body is worked out, and their ytraops get so big they often look like steroids even when they're not.
I have a friend who is bi who was on the varsity gymnastics team at Berkeley--he told me when he moved to the Bay Area for college he never was propositioned so much in his life, and he constantly took advantage of all the gay attention he received.
Since he left college and the gymnastics team (he's a college professor now, and doesn't look nearly as muscular as he did then), he says men rarely proposition him anymore. He's still handsome and reasonably fit, but nothing like what I've seen him look like in photos from that time.

For me, Alexei Nemov has always been the gold standard male gymnast.
Interestingly, I never got a gay vibe from him.
But he was always so clean cut, and his body was perfection.

No. The monk like discipline and overwhelming obsession it takes to be an olympic gymnast precludes any kind of 'normalcy' in ones life. Like a great world class ballet dancer don't expect warm and fuzzy.
