Brad Pitt was 28 by the time anyone noticed him in his featured role in THELMA AND LOUISE, which begs the definition of "twink," IMHO.
He'd been doing extra and under-5 work for years by then, but he couldn't have gotten himself arrested as a "celebrity" before T&E.
So I don't think he's a very good example.

Rob Lowe? I feel like he spent years having to play shitty movies until he went to TV and basically learned to make fun of himself. I wouldn’t say he transitioned properly.
It’s kind of like how Alec Baldwin went from dashing leading man to fat comedian later in his career.
Lowe had to compromise himself as a leading man to keep his career so I don’t see the transition.

Yes. DiCaprio is the most successful in film history, probably, as far as never losing stride, keeping producers and audiences interested, and generally plugging forward.
Many others here weren't quite as twinkish when they started or simply didn't have adult careers equal to their adult careers.
Mickey Rooney, Jackie Cooper, Jackie Coogan - all examples of how hard it is. Of course Rooney was cursed by his height.

Warren Beatty had success almost equal to Leo, but there were more leading men stars (Jack, Redford, Newman, Hoffman, Pacino) back then compared to the 21st century. Warren always had work and directed as well. And like Leo, Warren always dated the most beautiful women😉
