Very few of them can keep stripping after age 30 or 35.
Most of them already had day jobs, or they somehow acquire day jobs, including in personal training, massage, construction, etc.

Friend who was plugged into the whole John Blair stable of strippers/go-go boys says most simple drifted back into the working or middle class life they came from. They got normal jobs or began careers, married, had kids and that was that. Even once billed as the "hottest man in America" or something Tracy James (who was a go-go boy in JB's stable back then) is out in CA, married and running a restaurant or something.
Few trannies I know that had more than their fair share of strippers/go-go boys back in day say pretty much the same. For many of those guys it was just a way to make extra money along with bar tending at gay clubs. Gays tend to be more generous with tips so overall pay was better.

In terms of dollar earnings, female strippers on average always beat males (gay or straight) that cater to other males or female clientele.
It does vary of course... Some guys do very well, and some girls don't. Then there are of course the dangers to female strippers from violence by clients, deranged stalkers, etc..
