What? How longwinded can you be? Basically, he’s asking viewers for money via Patreon because YouTube doesn’t pay him enough to produce the kind of good content he’s capable of creating.
I’m calling BS on this. Lots of other YouTubers put out content without wringing their hands as much as he does.

I didn't make it all the way through his announcement. His Youtube videos used to be entertaining but have definitely become repetitive. I wonder if this new venture will have him sharing fresh content there as well or will it only be reserved for Patreon (or those paying $40 for his napkins).

I’d actually be thrilled to make that much. I had a YouTube channel that was well received by its intended audience but VERY niche, and I never made a cent off it.
