His music for CMBYN is absolutely gorgeous and you all must hear it if you haven't yet. I tried bringing this same question up a few days ago at Sufjan's Reddit based on my reading of Mystery of Love. I got jumped on by a fan or two but we somehow ended up agreeing in the end?

I've been aware of his music for about 10 years. He gets a lot of air play on the Seattle independent radio station I sometimes listen to. He's a little precious for my taste, kind of Ray Montagne-ish, soft folk y but I like some of his stuff. And yeah, he's always pinged to me.

Impossible Soul, the gorgeous 25 minute finale to his album Age of Adz, which featured Futile Devices (used in CMBYN) as the opening track.
Im not really a fan of his folk stuff, but this electronic Sufjan is right up my alley. I played this album to death in 2010.

I thought he was married to an African American guy. But I think he is bisexual not gay. He stands up a lot against racism but is incredibly silent against anti-homosexuality. So I'm guess he is a homophobic bisexual.

That "song" is such emetic fucking garbage, but it was made four years ago and there's no way he'd attach his name to something like that these days. Perhaps it was part of his musical experimentation?

Doesn’t he like to wear fairy wings when he preforms? I like his more twee sounding songs. I know all these annoying commercials with the banjos and ukuleles have totally cut the balls off of twee but there were some sensational twee acts out there, the Hidden Cameras being 100% on “our team.” Isn’t Kanye a big fan?
