I think all of the hockey fans have abandoned DL, OP. I tried to keep the NHL thread going last season but it was pretty much just the same three people talking to each other.

The NHL thread was pretty active during the 2014 season thru the playoffs, R11. It appears as though most of those posters disappeared after the DL format change.

Anyone watching the World Cup? I think the initial concept was good, but they didn't work out the kinks and pushed the timing. They know the Olympics is pretty much over. Their merchandizing & promotion is atrocious as usual.

Oh, and DL fave and trashy tatt queen Seguin is allegedly in hot water for missing a practice because he had Molson flu. More likely Colombian flu; regardless, Babcock is NOT going to be impressed. Ruff has to put up with his bullshit, including the stunt he pulled last year, because he's a fan favourite and Jim Nill is a pushover. Babcock only has him for the tourney, and I could see him benching him if his commitment was that bad.

I can't wait to see Team USA play Team NA. I am already cringing for the US at the thought. I love Tortorella, but WTF?

The NHL level isn't as bad because the really toxic junior hockey punks are weeded out. Most never make the show.

Ryan McDonagh is a useless sac of ectoplasm who disgraced his team tonight. He's also not as hot as 95% of the other players in the tournament.

I'd love to know the real reason Buff was benched. I saw a few comments scattered around hockey to the effect he wasn't behaving last night again.

The team in R24 is definitely Canada somewhere, probably some rec team.

Yeah while the team jersey is definitely the same color scheme as the Dallas Stars, a lot of teams in minor and recreational leagues use the same jersey colors/schemes as NHL teams.

Thus, this may or may not be Dallas' team (and I'm leaning towards no, as #6 with the tappable ass doesn't look like Julius Honka, unless the video is old).

I highly doubt it's the Dallas team. Any pro team would have their names on their jerseys if they are travelling, and this team is somewhere in Western Canada, probably a recreational team.

Here's the original Tumblr post for R24's video. Canlan is a company which operates recreation centres across Canada, so it's likely that the "I'd tap that" guy and his friends play for a league called ASHL (adult safe hockey league).

Welllll, R45 - obviously you’ve never laid witness to the sport of soccer/football.

By all appearances, *this* is the dangerous sport. If a player brushes past, looks at someone funny, farts in the general direction of an opposing team member... tragical things happen.

With my very own eyes, I’ve seen a player on the field take a tumble that appears to have broken every bone in his body. Players roll off in never ending barrel rolls that only stop at a refs feet. Clutch your MARY! pearls and be glad it’s not your jewels laying there on the turf.

If it doesn’t pull a penalty, they manage to find the strength to bounce up again and carry on. Also, fans die by just attending a soccer/football game somewhere in the world, OP.

I like hockey. The Boston Bruins are my favourite team.

I also cheer on the 16-21 year olds that hope to transition to a farm team one day. Local area teams.

I follow the Terminators on IG. Beer league guys. Super friendly and the game commentary clips are hilarious. I also ordered one of their game jerseys. Whole gang is hilarious.
