We’re all being milked dry by this silly excuse. Now that say 2023 will be the end. Sure Jan.

Exactly. There is no potato famine, so claiming that there is a chip shortage is ridiculous.

R1 funny. But even bags of chips hand shrunk.
| by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 25, 2021 4:15 PM |
I have 3 bags of potato chips in my pantry. There’s less selection, but still plenty available.

How large are they r3? Do remember how big they were 2 years ago for less money?
| by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 25, 2021 4:25 PM |
This whole "shortage" thing is utter bullshit.
These companies are all trying to make up for profits that fell in 2020 by gouging people in 2021.
GM and Ford could give a rat's ass about a chip shortage. Their profits/per vehicle are higher now than in 2019.

I saw this coming years ago and stocked up on Doritos.

Your Doritos are probably so stale. ↑

Nothing beats Cape Cod potato chips
| by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 25, 2021 4:41 PM |
Uh, I believe you mean "potatoe".
| by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 25, 2021 4:41 PM |
This is not a joke. Car companies profits are through the roof yet they aren’t selling many cars. Doesn’t that worry some of you? They will never go back to normal.
Neither will any other company that realizes they can do more with less.

Microchips and potato chips r15
I was doing a phone survey with an older gentleman and I said "my next questions are about potato chips" and he replied "dictatorships? I don't like em"

r12
Profits increased because markups covered (and then some) the loss in volume. But now volume is too low to be saved by price increases. A lot of manufs are now working with single-digit days supply across their entire lineups.

OMG!! I hope it's not barbeque flavor.

R12 - We would do the same thing if we were in charge of the car companies. Unfortunately we’re the consumers. It’s all perspective.

Will no one think of the salsa!

We were always told that “robust competition” would take care of this but that was a lie. Modern economics is a scam.

Oven baked potato chips are the best.

Oh these puns are so hilarious. Isn’t it funny when corporations find more ways to squeeze every last dime out of poor working families who can afford to live near public transportation or with the walking distance to employment.
The car was a symbol of America. And now it’s a symbol of the American downfall.

Poor people aren't buying new cars.
