Watching the DVD now...
Lucy is hilarious as a NYC bag lady.
She just went to take a shit in the crack of a building after announcing, "I have to go baffroom," and another bag lady tried to steal her shopping cart (aka her worldy possessions)!
Now she is eating out of a trash can.

She really wanted to eat the shit like her idol Divine, but you know who talked her out of it.

It’s a damned shame there wasn’t a movie with this character and Rosie from Riding the Bus With My Sister. Emmys Emmys everywhere!!

She actually looked better in this than she did on "Super Password."

You may laugh, but Stone Pillow was a labor of love for Lucy that got destroyed on its journey. It was originally intended to be a feature and much more raw than the finished result (a similar thing happend with Pretty Women and that movie about reporters with Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford), Lucy as Florabelle was going to be subjected to various forms of degradation and was going to be much 'rougher' around the edges, but alas, there was concern from Lucy's advisors about her image as America's sweetheart and Arnold Shapiro, the director of Scared Straight, who was originally to direct, backed out. It eventually was turned into a tv project which meant that a lot of the more earthy language had to be removed from the script and no explicit mention was made of Florabelle's 'past' as a prostitute and addict. It was really an opportunity for Lucy to show her range, and she did to an extent, but I think it would have made a much bigger impact had Lucy as Florabelle been able to deliver lines like, 'I smoked hogs for a boot of skag and I'm not afraid to do it again,' which is a line from the original screenplay which was available a few years ago at one of those Lucille Ball auctions they had.

Originally Lily Tomlin was set to co-star, but the two comedy queens did not get along. At one point Lucy threw a cup of coffee at Lily growling, "I don't get you!". Which set Lily off on a 15-min. profanity-laced tantrum.
