In one of her posts about how college kids suck because they demand trigger warnings and have feelings....and how she doesn't because she got treated badly at castings and is stronger for it...I'm reminded of Tyra, and all her "you don't know what pain is!" speeches to the girls.
....I'm starting to wonder how many former Top Models got PTSD from the show, or became as bitter and hateful as Tyra .

She gave an interview in the E True Hollywood Story Top Model episode admitting she wrote Tyra a screaming email after winning and struggling and finding out the industry wasn't going to worship her. She called Tyra a liar and a bitch and basically flipped on her.
Maybe she's been nutty for a long time.

R2, this YouTuber Oliver Twixt has interviewed dozens of ANTM contestants. Their experiences on the show run the gamut- from humorous and entertaining, to indifferent, to totally traumatized. One of my favorite interviews was with Shandi, but there are so many good ones.

She chased after Christopher. He was not trying to be married. She was the one who really pushed for it. I am guessing she has some sort of Cluster B personality issue. I remember her from the Brady days when she was on TV. She seemed sweet and reasonably self-aware and funny yet damaged. R44 I wondered that too. There’s nothing about her after she left modeling in 2009. I think if she has won the first season the show would’ve had a bit more legitimacy as being a show that discovered high fashion models. Most of them were more along the lines of Maxim/Stuff/FHM/Playboy.

R44, Elyse had a very successful modeling career in Asia after the show. Not sure about her doctor aspirations or what she’s doing at the moment though.

Last I heard about Elyse was that she went on to be a copy editor of some sorts.
After her modeling career, she went back to New Mexico, got married, had a family, and disappeared from public life.
Most recent photo of her was posted back in 2015 on her employer's site. Definitely aged, but still with striking features.
I remember she was dating a band member from The Shins who beat her up and she pressed charges, but they were later dismissed.
It wasn't long after that she up and ended her modeling career and returned to the US. It was all rather abrupt.
She was doing well overseas, published a book, updated and ran a successful livejournal of her modeling adventures (before blogging and vlogging became popular), and then suddenly she just stopped.
No goodbye post, no announcement. She just walked away from public life and internet celebrity and never looked back.
