I've noticed a lot of people lately are pronouncing words wrong, even words that are in common usage.
Maybe we make allowances that he might have been nervous because it's live TV, but that's no excuse to not have made sure you knew how to pronounce any potential winner.

The process of his cancellation seems to be taking an awfully long time, R17. I was curious what these charges were, and saw that Variety wrote about them way back in August, 2020. His career has done nothing but elevate since then. I thought cancellation was supposed to have the reverse effect.
