It’s been years since I’ve watched this but I used to love it.
I’m not a big Doris Day fan but I did like her in this, and Rock Hudson was at his most handsome and charming. He had such long beautiful legs!
I hated how abrupt and rushed the ending felt, but still fun.
Still shocked Doris Day was nominated for an Oscar for this lol.

Loved it! The chemistry between Day and Hudson was great, and they both had wonderful comic timing.

Never loved it, maybe you'd have to be older. I'm 54.

This is my favorite of the three movies Doris Day and Rock Hudson made together.
As R1 noted, they had great chemistry, but the supporting actors are great, too. There's NIck Adams, of course, and Lee Patrick (Doris Upson of "two cans of tuna fish" fame) as the RICH water buffalo. Thelma Ritter, as always, makes every scene a treat.
For 1959, the movie was probably considered fairly risqué. Or, were movie goers of the 50s less prudish than I think they were?

It was a fun, effervescent film!

I love this movie. The script deservedly won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Very funny and beautifully structured.

Love it. Love the combo. Can’t even hate on the deep in the closet reality behind it. The perfect Sunday afternoon movie,

Pillow Talk opened a new era. Released in 1959, but it's really the first 1960s comedy. It does not look or feel like anything that came before it. For that I think it's an important film. And note how the fashions, makeup and hair style made Doris Day suddenly look 10 years younger.

The screenplay, folks, the screenplay. Effervescent.

A lot of mid-century retro fun. Rock Hudson is very funny and so gorgeous to look at, and it's one of my favorite Thelma Ritter roles, someone I'd watch in anything.
