Watching Brady Bunch on MeTV this morning and they’re playing the last two episodes. My partner and I chuckle every time we see the final episode because Greg has a pretty nasty looking cold sore on his bottom lip that they try to cover up with a band-aid. Greg has the herpes.
Today we noticed something in the second to last episode. Another cast member has a large cold sore in the exact spot.

I remember watching the final episodes as an adult and being surprised when Cousin Oliver tells Cindy that Carol is uptight “about sex.” It’s in the scene with the rabbits when Carol won’t talk about reproduction. It seems like such an out of place line but by then “All in the Family” was already on its fourth season and Maude had her abortion a couple years prior…
And Archie Bunker himself gets name checked in the “Kelly’s Kids” backdoor pilot episode, also in the final season.

I got the episode wrong when Greg had the bandage on his lip. It was a few episodes prior to Cousin Oliver’s herpes sore. And according to IMDB, Barry Williams had a car accident and split his lip on the steering wheel. I ain’t buying it.
