New York Times Pitchbot on Twitter

The Taliban or rabid pit bulls: which would you allow your children to play with?

by Anonymousreply 2August 17, 2021 1:16 PM

Can New York Times Pitchbot send a correspondent to the White House press corps?

He's so good, he's even predicted some.

Some of these are pretty spot on. They should be sure to include more headlines linking some random disaster to the Clintons, ie " Two months Prior to Covid Crisis, Bill and Hillary Clinton Held a Party in the Hamptons, Allege Critics".

by Anonymousreply 11August 20, 2021 5:23 PM

Hahahaha. These are so great. Totally nails their pathetic, lazy, click-bait both sides-ism headlines.

This Red State couple died on ventilators within 48 hours of each other. Here's why Democrats are still taking them for granted.

by Anonymousreply 13August 20, 2021 5:39 PM

These working class white voters straight up hate Blacks. Maybe Biden should start listening.

by Anonymousreply 21August 23, 2021 4:06 PM

Doug J is at the 'Balloon Juice' blog. He's genius.

It's also an interesting blog to read because the 'blog owner', John Cole, used to be a right winger. The Terry Schiavo case shook him up (as a final straw, I guess) and he's now a rabid Democrat.

by Anonymousreply 26August 28, 2021 5:07 PM

They should include a REAL article New York Times published in 2016 " Why Melania May Be Our Best First Lady Yet" ( I'm not making this up , google it).

by Anonymousreply 32August 30, 2021 8:40 PM

R32, he links to their real articles with no comment all the time. It's amazing how often you wouldn't know the difference.

by Anonymousreply 33August 30, 2021 8:41 PM

Maybe they could add even more parodies of New York Times putrid op ed columnists. I'm thinking " Effeminate Democrats No Match For Manly Republicans" or " Kamala Harris, Mean Girl in Chief" by Maureen Dowd. Or " Why Birth Control Is Modern Genocide" by Elizabeth Breunig . Or some faux condescending moralizing by David Brooks or Ross Douthat , ie " An Ode to the Importance of Personal Responsibility"

by Anonymousreply 35August 30, 2021 8:48 PM

^ He does skewer the op-ed columnists.

What is even the fucking point of that Douthat column?

Currently the Covid death toll reaches the same as 9/11 every 1.5 DAYS. In what universe would the NYT run a column like this: "It's much easier having gone through 9/11 without knowing anyone who died that day. What if 30,000 people had died on 9/11?"
