If I were famous, this is what I would do too. Too many celebrities are too accessible and too visible all the time - there needs to be some light and dark, go away for a while and live a low-key life, give people the chance to miss you and then come back. Basically what Adele does, although she goes to an extreme with it and stays away for literally years (though said recently she's going to get a bit more balance going forward and not disappear completely for years on end).
