It doesn't play well in the UK, R11. The British have been told since the financial crisis of 2008 that austerity is necessary and 'we are all in this together' i.e. cutbacks will affect all levels of society. People are sick to death of public services being slashed and under-funding of the NHS and public transport while the super rich get tax breaks and exploit tax avoidance loopholes that are regarded as morally wrong, if technically legal.

Well in Hamilton's case, as the article said, his actions may very well be breaking the law. But aside from that point, when you're as rich as he is, and yet still looking for ways to shirk your duties to society by paying your fair share in tax, you're a piece of shit. Especially because those ways of avoiding tax are only ever open to the rich, meaning that governments will have to make up the rest from the poor.
But hey I guess he had to save his money to pay for ever-so-tasteful sounding "candy apple" interior.

Does R12 not realise his tax dodging is well known in the UK? It's why he moved to Switzerland years ago and was mocked for it by socialist campaigner Jeremy Clarkson when Hamilton won some award.
As for him being gay, I'd like to think a gay man would have more taste than to dress like that and ruin his body with dreadful tattoos.

I can’t emphasise enough how toxic F1 is behind the scenes. Hamilton is fucked up in all kinds of ways, Yes, he is a spoilt little prick who should pay his taxes but he works in a racist, homophobic world. The fact he can stay focused and dominate the sport says a lot.
