I received my Moderna shot/booster yesterday

I now feel like death.

I haven't had this reaction to any of the other shots.

Moderna’s show in Brooklyn started late.

A Madonna shot? Does it make your face look hideous?

by Anonymousreply 2December 15, 2023 5:04 PM

I had mine about 2 months ago. I felt bad for about a week.

I started working in an office, again, after a few years of working from home.

Knock on wood, I have not caught Covid.

by Anonymousreply 3December 15, 2023 5:05 PM

All my shots were Moderna since the beginning. So far covid free

by Anonymousreply 4December 15, 2023 5:08 PM

I started with Pfizer for my first and second doses. Moderna for subsequent boosters.

by Anonymousreply 5December 15, 2023 5:09 PM

Now I'm getting chills.

I came into work but am debating going home.

by Anonymousreply 6December 15, 2023 5:26 PM

^ Go home it gets worse before it gets better

by Anonymousreply 7December 15, 2023 5:47 PM

guess I was lucky. I had no reaction, not even a sore arm.

by Anonymousreply 8December 15, 2023 5:49 PM

I just took 800 mg of Ibuprofen. I hope it helps.

by Anonymousreply 9December 15, 2023 5:55 PM

You got chills OP? Are they multiplying? Are you losing control?

by Anonymousreply 10December 15, 2023 6:00 PM

I'm still here .... barely.

by Anonymousreply 12December 15, 2023 6:51 PM

^ Oh, thank God... Where do you keep the key to the lockbox?

by Anonymousreply 13December 15, 2023 6:59 PM

My mom is 87 and I take care of her - well - I do my best. last week I took her in for Covid, flu and Rsv shots. I felt guilty because I knew she would be so totally knocked out for a few days. BUT (small voice) I was kind of looking forward having some time to get stuff done around the house - or cook or putter. She didn’t have one - NOT ONE side effect. …. I got the Moderna vax yesterday and my flu shot. GOOD GOD A - Mighty - I woke up at 2 am with terrible chills - I feel live I have been hit by a train! I don’t remember the last time I felt this sick …. I’m going to nap and suffer with the 911 marathon in the background.

I got my 2nd shingles shot on Tuesday. I’ve been in bed pretty much since….freezing, sore like I’d been hit by car, no appetite, shaking ‘and shivering.

I had some unpleasant reactions to other vaccines, but this is like the flu.

by Anonymousreply 15December 15, 2023 7:33 PM

I'm one of the lucky 2% that develops a horrible itchy rash SOMETIMES from the Moderna shot.

2 weeks of steroids and an industrial strength antihistamine are needed in those instances.

by Anonymousreply 16December 15, 2023 7:36 PM

I had Moderna for my first three shots and felt ill after all of them. Had Pfizer for the most recent one and didn’t have any side effects other than a sore arm for a few hours. I would never combine any of them with the flu shot.

by Anonymousreply 17December 15, 2023 7:37 PM

I got my Moderna booster shot in October. I felt fine, with a bit of a sore upper arm for about a day, but no big deal.

by Anonymousreply 18December 15, 2023 7:39 PM

I got my RSV shot last week. Can I play?

by Anonymousreply 19December 15, 2023 8:04 PM

I've had the Pfizer vaccine for the first three and felt sore, under the weather for 24 hours. I had a Moderna booster two weeks ago and my arm is still sore. Plus I was massively feverish, sore, irritable and nauseated for 24 hours, then recovered rapidly. More like a tetanus vaccination.

[quote]Do you feel like DEATH?

No, but I LOOK like DEATH WARMED OVER.

by Anonymousreply 22December 15, 2023 8:26 PM

I've never had trouble with any of my covid shots. You're obviously weak, OP.

by Anonymousreply 23December 15, 2023 9:04 PM

r2 hee hee, I read it as Madonna as well.

by Anonymousreply 24December 15, 2023 9:18 PM

So, r24, we have two posters who can't read?

by Anonymousreply 25December 15, 2023 11:07 PM

Keep my name out of your mouth ... err, voice!

Damn, I was busy enough this year! I'm heading for a Florida vacation.

by Anonymousreply 26December 15, 2023 11:13 PM

[quote]Three, r25.

I wasn't wearing my glasses, though.

by Anonymousreply 27December 15, 2023 11:29 PM

I had the same reaction to this booster but was fine with all of the other shots. Took me two weeks to feel normal again.

by Anonymousreply 28December 15, 2023 11:37 PM

Good work OP and Moderna and its stockholders thank you thank you!

Poor excuse.

Omg - I am getting worse not better = I feel awful. My 87 year old mother doesn’t know where anything is. She put lettuce and onions in the dishwasher…..my head feels crushed in and I hear her rattling around out there …

by Anonymousreply 31December 16, 2023 12:06 AM

Just ride it out, R31. You'll feel better. I felt exhausted for about a week.

by Anonymousreply 32December 16, 2023 12:17 AM

Thanks r32 I actually feel a little better than I did two hours ago!

I only got covid once after a Moderna booster.

Back to Pfizer ever since.

by Anonymousreply 39December 16, 2023 10:31 PM

I had my Hoevid shot last week.

Haven’t sucked one dick or presented hole since!

by Anonymousreply 40December 16, 2023 10:53 PM

You'll be fine. You'll be sending regards.

by Anonymousreply 41December 16, 2023 10:58 PM

It's like when people get a flu shot and swear they get the flu.

by Anonymousreply 42December 16, 2023 11:12 PM

I'm alive. My arm is still sore, but no other ill effects.
