And I shudder to think what convoluted train wreck the LGTBQ “gatekeepers” and corporations will declare is the new Pride flag next year.
God, I miss the good old days.

No two spirit? No asexuals? Rude

As a nonbinary queer Black candidate for Seattle City Council Position 9, I respectfully request that the organization amend its name to LAGALABATATANBQBC4SCCP9 in the name of inclusivity.
Will the event be charging reparations to whites?

LAGALA-BATATA is the word.
It's got groove, it's got meaning.
It's the time, it's the motion.
It's the way we are feeling!

OP, aside from posting an Onion article, which is to be taken with a grain of salt and a laugh, have you ever been to a Weho gay pride parade lately? It's an endless procession of floats sponsored by companies like Delta, Walgreens, Bank of America, and every other insufferable corporate piece of shit that exists in America. Santa Monica Blvd is packed with zoomers and to a lesser extent Millenials who are more focused on their Insta post than the actual parade of shit. Get a grip.

My point, dumbass in R8, is that I miss the “old days” of un-PC Pride parades like the one described in this 20 year old Onion article

Being gay isn't subversive fun anymore. Now, we have boring parades.
Not even ONE flaming baton. My local was an inflated unicorn on a pickup, ugly drag queens, and a floatilla of Aydn they/thems with their moms.

This started in the 90s when HRC went deep into "Faith and Family" as the key to mainstream acceptance and suddenly gay rights was all about same-sex families raising their Jaydens and Caydens. I'm the farthest thing from a separatist anti-marriage person, but please.

Corporate sponsored parades are pretty dull

I actually think the gentrification started in the 90s following the stabilization of the AIDS crisis. A gay community emerging from the crisis suddenly became the "Double Income No Kids" demographic desired by marketers.
