We may laugh but this woman is NOT messing around. That Bosch mixer is $469 on Amazon and she clearly knows her way around a kitchen.

She's a hoot and a half. And yes, she clearly knows how to cook. I've copied down her recipe for this cake. I love to bake pound cakes.

Couldn't get past "White Lilly," four seconds of her squalky twang, and then that whole pound of butter. I could just smell Proud Boy Jesus, guns, GOP votes, and racism wafting from her oven.

It does look delicious. Now I'm craving pound cake but will not be making this and I AM NOT GOING TO RUN TO SAFEWAY TO BUY A SARA LEE POUND CAKE! Did you hear me? I am NOT going to do that.

I gained a 'pound' watching it.

It's called "pound cake" because the original 200+ year old recipe called for 1 lb. of butter, 1 lb. of sugar, 1 lb. of eggs, and 1 lb. of flour. Over the years the recipe has been adjusted as the original recipe produced a confection so heavy it was a chore to even get a knife through it.

That crust on top looks like heaven. That's always the best part of a well made pound cake. If your pound cake has no crack, it's just smack.

If she really wanted to clog the arteries, she would have used sweetened condensed coconut milk instead. Probably wouldn't need the shredded coconut, which really doesn't belong in a cake.
