German actor Max Riemelt - is he a sister?

I first noticed him in a movie called Berlin Syndrome and found him really attractive. He has apparently played gay multiple times and is rumored to be gay.

I think he's just a very versatile actor.

I have no idea who he is, so I had to google him.

He's cute enough.

I do like his uncut German sausage, though.

He's apparently straight. He has a daughter and I think he is/was married to a woman.

But maybe bi?

I vaguely remember a minor backlash against him during Sense8 when something homophobic he'd said in an interview was unearthed by a fan. He's probably one of the most visible German actors who've played a gay character and has been involved in queer projects which makes it improbable that he'd be a huge homophobe but there's no denying I did feel a bit disappointed. However Germany most definitely is still homophobic in many ways so it's not like I don't get where he's coming from, especially since he seems to be straight.

He's very supportive of gay rights and apparently did an impromptu deep kiss with Brian J Smith when filming Sense8 on a Pride float which I doubt a super homophobe would do. Obviously some people hate him for being a straight man playing gay characters and it's very probable the whole homophobia furor was an attempt by one to cancel him.
