In Dave Hollis’ case, in November 2021 he held an Instagram Live to promote his book, “Built Through Courage: Face Your Fears to Live the Life You Were Meant For” which had come out several weeks earlier. It turned into a full meltdown during which he berated his followers and demanded they purchase the book, and even spoked rudely to one of his daughters. He later apologized, but in early 2022 he pulled away from social media activity, and there were rumors he had entered rehab.

Based on the about half hour of reading I did about this person I just discovered today
It seems like somewhere along the line he appears to have misappropriated the notion that his success in selling things that people already liked (Disney’s many popular brands) somehow applied to himself as an individual? Below is an extremely creepy children’s book he created with himself as an animated character.
Hollywood business culture has kind of a 180 degree rule where behind the scenes people stay extremely private (think of the terms we use for them, e.g. “velvet mafia”) while the stars and movies are totems of success and admiration - it seems like crossing the line basically turned him completely bonkers.

Coke and fentanyl. No one mixes those two - he was poisoned by contaminated coke. Why does this keep happening? I used to enjoy the occasional line of coke but there's no way I would use it now. Do people know they're risking death with each line?
