R40 Are you serious? They shaved their heads at their arrival. It wasn’t because of lice, it was purely to dehumanize them. They were left with their hair for the rest of their stay. Women and children didn’t stay long. It’s all documented. They literally lived in shit. Like lice was their biggest problem.

It's funny how straight people rave about Christina Hendricks' hair, her wig is so noticeable wig-like yet in every article she's profiled they always go on ad nauseam about her hair. She actually has pretty bad thinning hair so in her case the wigs and hair pieces are necessary. But even without hair loss, a majority of female celebs, especially ones over 40, wear hair pieces, extensions, or wigs when they're working e.g. photo shoots or filming movies/ shows. Christie Brinkley has obvious hair pieces, she'd actually look younger if she didn't try so hard with keeping her hair long.
