Sibling estrangement is quite common in dysfunctional families. And the Reagans were famously dysfunctional. Their offspring were said to be estranged when Nancy died. I don't know if that status has since changed. And, R39, Ron was not a junior.

FWiW Jonathan Gilbert is now a 56 year old stockbroker. His last acting credit was Little House: the final farewell.
BTW Sara Gilbert is the half sister of Melissa Gilbert and Jonathan Gilbert. they have the same mother and different fathers. Sara's original last name is Abeles, her father is Harold Abeles Melissa and Jonathan's father died and their mother remarried.
