"Endangered Species" (1982) starring Robert Urich and JoBeth Williams

In this sci-fi horror movie, Urich stars as a downtrodden alcoholic NYPD cop who quits his job and relocates to rural Colorado with his teenage daughter. There, a small-town sheriff (JoBeth Williams) is investigating strange cattle mutilations occurring in the region. The two predictably meet, and attempt to solve the strange incidents. Hoyt Axton, Peter Coyote, and Dan Hedaya co-star. I think this movie is quite underrated, well-shot and nicely acted, but it doesn't seem to be well-remembered. Urich is hot as hell in it and appears shirtless in several scenes, and there is a shower sequence where you see his full ass and bush which is worth the price of admission alone.

You know the man is dead? Urich. Tragic loss. I was very fond of him.

Urich was exemplary male perfection. Masculine and a little bit sleazy, but with a touch of refinement. Sex appeal off the charts. I bet the man was a monster in the bedroom.

Urich was too sexy for prime time. They had to kill him off on SOAP to shift the focus from salacious sex to murder.

Naked, you say? How did I miss that?
