Watching her smoke that cigarette in ep. 4 of ajlt - I couldn't help but wonder: the dominant narrative for this reboot is to not judge how women look, and the pc thing to say is that the ladies look great.
But, why can't we attribute SJP's less than stellar aging on her smoking, which surely aged her moreso than if she had led a healthier lifestyle. Are we so PC and programmed to not judge an aging woman's appearance that we missed out on the chance to shame SJP's smoking.
Meanwhile, across town Kim C looks great and is several years older.

The smoking thing is surreal. I can't imagine everybody from the American Cancer Society to the Surgeon General isn't freaking out on them.
