Eldergays, did this style of music really exist? Is this what they played in the after-hours clubs after you'd been dancing all night to the faster dance music?

What are your memories of this from back in the day?

Yes. We covered this in a disco thread not too long ago. 'Sleaze' is the music that brought you down from the (drug-induced) frenzy of the night. I really only remember the very early 80s "sleaze" because I am a spring chicken compared to some of these other bitches on Datalounge.
