The right wing political flank and it's media hate Frey and anything that could possibly be construed as progressive about Minnesota or Mpls/St. Paul politics or social issues. Frey is a symbol of all that they hate about progressive politics and ideals.
That same media flank does a bang up successful job of lying and distorting situations such as in how my gullible step sister who lives in Colorado has been completely taken in and once wrote that, "Minneapolis... has been reduced to 3rd world status..." as in terms of being a destroyed ruin.
