Oh look, the Nazi troll is trying to find fun and interactive ways to use the word Nazi.

So stealth, OP.

I tried to correct this punctuation -

left wing: As much

there is no capital after the colon and the colon isn't really the best choice anyway. But NYT refused that.

by Anonymousreply 2August 15, 2018 4:00 AM

Also the lack of parallel structure with "Democrats" paired to "The Republican Party." NYT doesn't recognize

by Anonymousreply 3August 15, 2018 4:02 AM

Yawn. The grammatical rules of the English language are merely suggestions.

by Anonymousreply 4August 15, 2018 4:11 AM

Took me 15 tries to complete the test, which is better than 93%. Median score is 28.

by Anonymousreply 6August 15, 2018 4:18 AM

I got the first three right then got bored and quit.

by Anonymousreply 7August 15, 2018 4:22 AM

At least you didn't get bot gored.

by Anonymousreply 9August 15, 2018 4:24 AM

I got the median score, 28. NYT loves run-on sentences, it seems. I prefer them short and to the point.

by Anonymousreply 10August 15, 2018 4:39 AM

Note that R7 doesn't say how MANY tries it took to get those three "right."

by Anonymousreply 11August 15, 2018 4:40 AM

You took 23 tries to complete the quiz.

Over all, you did better than 72 percent of Times readers. The median score on this quiz is 28.

R11, The first three weren't especially hard, though to be fair my answer for #1 was a bit of a guess. I thought the choice of "hate" was a little odd, so that's what I picked. I thought it could easily have been wrong. What was #3, an extra comma? That one was pretty obvious. I'm not claiming would have done great on the rest of it, but like I said .... bored.

by Anonymousreply 13August 15, 2018 5:43 AM

R9, I haven't had a good solid goring in a while.

by Anonymousreply 14August 15, 2018 5:45 AM

R14, my sympathies. Maybe you'll get lucky this weekend.

by Anonymousreply 16August 15, 2018 7:25 AM

22 for me, but that’s because I couldn’t get the clicking to work correctly — very annoying.

by Anonymousreply 17August 15, 2018 7:44 AM

I’m up to 19 tries. But if I don’t get it on the next try, I’m going to move on to number two.

by Anonymousreply 18August 15, 2018 10:53 AM

r17 I didn't get it to work consistently, either. Maybe I'll try it again in Chrome instead of Firefox. That's the source of a lot of problems for me. It took me 23 tries to do better than 72 percent, but most answers I got "you did better than 99 percent..." Also, I think there was an "Oh, Dear" or two.

by Anonymousreply 19August 15, 2018 11:04 AM

Avital R,onnell:; Is part of the the Jewz for Peace in this days NYT ...

by Anonymousreply 20August 15, 2018 11:08 AM

It took you 20 responses in to start your hate campaign, R20?

by Anonymousreply 21August 15, 2018 11:12 AM

Remember, R21, "block" is your friend!

by Anonymousreply 22August 15, 2018 11:14 AM

Remember R22, not coming here is your best option.

by Anonymousreply 23August 15, 2018 11:18 AM

Muriel, next time you do a software revision, can you make it so we don't see the numbers in the right column of those we have blocked. I keep clicking on the number because, well, because it's there, and too often, clicking takes me to posts I didn't want to look at.

by Anonymousreply 24August 15, 2018 11:21 AM

Then don't come here R24. No one wants you here.

by Anonymousreply 25August 15, 2018 11:25 AM

That's an overwrought response, r25. Even as pointless bitchery.

by Anonymousreply 26August 15, 2018 11:26 AM

I'm glad you see it that way R26. Now take your hate campaign somewhere else.

by Anonymousreply 27August 15, 2018 11:32 AM

But I'm not the "hate campaign" person, r27. I'd like to block him, too.

by Anonymousreply 28August 15, 2018 11:35 AM

Forcall intensive purpose’s, these test’s are for moron’s.

by Anonymousreply 30August 15, 2018 12:01 PM

I am a former copy editor. If I were still in the business I would circle and write AWKWARD in the margin or suggest a rewrite for most of these samples. They are embarrassingly bad writing.

by Anonymousreply 31August 15, 2018 1:24 PM

18. But questions 10 and 11 are flawed in a way that renders the test useless.

by Anonymousreply 33August 15, 2018 3:19 PM

R30, forestall defensive porpoises. These pests are former cons.
