So she's gone and built some little country cottage on her and her fluid husband Gath Brooks' massive estate, cause that's who Trisha is, a country gal yall.
Her "special recipes" are hamburger helper knockoffs, 'jack-o-lantern stuffed peppers"'.. "SO adorbs!" (Trisha attempts to say wacky gal stuff which hasn't even been cute with the fraus since 2011)
She's clearly uncomfortable holding a knife and chops things as clumsily as I do. She'll make some shit as banal as cake frosting and proclaim "this is how mah mama taught me" or "This is my famous hummus recipe the family ALWAYS demands".
There's always a wacky girlfriend with her, Trisha has mastered the art of forcing the faux belly laugh, complete with doubling over in pain caused by the hilarity of the wacky girlfriend making a pun, "I am NACHO TACO"... *cue laughter*
There's something about it so over the top stupid and fake, like they don't even try, and it makes her hate-worthy. (And no, the Pioneer Woman and gaseous Barefoot Contessa aren't worse. At least those bitches attempt to cook worked their up to a cooking show.)

I see nothing bad about it at all. I quite like her show. She cooks the food most home cooks like to cook and she does it well. OP you're just a snarky hatemonger.

Didn't mind her show. she seemed candid and friendly that I remember. not overly or overtly obnoxious or faux like all "cooking" shows are. pretty harmless. now that other ho Ree is another

Agree with R1 - her food isn'tg fancy. She is just attempting to present "down home" cooking for the average home cook. Ree Drummond drives me fucking crazy. If you think Trisha Yearwood is faking it by pretending she isn't filthy rich, how about ole Pioneer Pussy? The only thing good about Ree Drummond's show is Ladd and Cowboy Josh.

The Food Network has become the final stop on the washed-up celebrity train.

It’s been on for years. Why are you spazzing about it now?

Trisha knows everyone knows who she's married to and that they've got more money than God. She's not putting on a front for anyone.

Well Garth Brooks just keeps getting fatter and fatter so he must like her cooking.

I love me some Garth brooks.
I thought this show was new too. I had it on in the background and she was making something "Greek" with another big girl. It seemed really boring, but it was only one clip I watched. I'm going to try to see a whole episode before I judge. And I'll be hoping Garth will pop in and dip his finger in something she's cooking. She'll then swat his butt and tell him "you'd better git"..

[quote]Ree Drummond drives me fucking crazy.
How come?
For food porn, Ree and Trisha's are the 2 shows I like. Probably because neither of them make complicated dishes.

The Food Network has figured out that people who want to make "complicated dishes" don't get their recipes from watching TV.
OP, TV dumbs everything down. Just turn it off and find a cookbook that has real recipes. Good ones are more fun to read than listening to some wacky girlfriend. (I get the New York Times Cooking app, where people can make comments on the recipes and some of them are pretty sharp.)

Has anybody noticed the bad production values? Very little shadow, only light, hardly any detail. There are other ways of softening wrinkles and being flattering to someone's face. It's the same production values as on "Semi-Homemade" with Sandra Lee--all details drowned out by light. Trisha Yearwood's recipes do seem kind of semi-homemade sometimes.

R5 I'll take Tiffani Thiessen and Valerie over Tia Mowry.

Huh? The show is filmed at her own house in Nashville.

r10 Garth is on the show from time to time. Trisha calls him "Gartha Stewart."
