RFK2's argument that vaccines should be blind/placebo tested for many years ignores HIV/AIDS where activists made compelling arguments that placebo testing over long periods of time is a death sentence to those randomly selected patients.
It also ignored the fundamentals of vaccines, where success is measured in mathematical tipping points where a disease is not 100% conquered but reduced to be small and manageable problem that can be addressed case by case -- after a period of uncontrolled contagion puts millions at risk.
Medicine is refining a drug until it works perfectly and without any possible risk and withholding it from those who would benefit until not one one single patient light be harmed by a negative reaction.
Medicine, and medicine in the case of highly infectious disease, is not the place to make perfection the enemy of the good - unless your goal is to let millions die so that not one person suffers an adverse reaction.
They're both ridiculous in their own ways.
