A lot of these aging rockers are just continuing the "glam" thing of their youth (makeup, long hair, etc.) but look effeminate because of their waning testosterone. David Lee Roth was smart enough to realize he couldn't carry the look and dresses like a 1930s Okie now, but at least he's aging gracefully.

Are you talking about that young woman who lived with him many years ago? Where were her parents? They allowed Steve to be her 'guardian'! I know most of the story.
I saw her interview on YouTube. She seemed a bit dizzy, not very bright and clearly had parents who were more than happy to have someone else take care of their daughter. Not that Steve was 100% in the clear, she was much younger than him, she had no business living with him. Yet it appears her parents were as much to blame as Steve.
Education is the way out of situations as this. Go to college and certainly do not quit high school, what type of life did this young woman think she'd have if she split with her famous BF? Especially without an education. I wonder how she finally got her life together. I don't remember that part of her interview.
The parents are also to blame, they essentially shirked their responsibilities as parents. Who in their right mind allows their teenage daughter to quit school, move in with a famous rockstar and thinks she's no longer their responsibility? Her parents were either shitty parents or as stupid as she was.

A lot of rock stars have always had an androgynous look, not just Bowie and Jagger, I think it's because their biggest audience was teen girls and teen girls like their boys girly. Which yes, looks ridiculous on an aging man, so if Tyler is still rocking the silky scarves, long hair, and seductive poses at his age, then I assume he likes looking a bit girly. More power to him for doing that, because one way to fight homophobia is to stop men from automatically attacking other men who show any kind of femininity.
