In 1991, my friend Wendy was doing the LA Emerson program. I'd graduated in December, so I took a train to Los Angeles to visit her.
She brought me on set of General Hospital one day. David Lewis was still playing Edward Quartermaine, and was wandering around the set. He was out of it, sorry to say. I saw Anna Lee, who was beautiful. Tony Geary was on set, playing Bill Eckhart at that time. He looked annoyed. Emma Samms had returned to play Holly. She smiled at me, and even though I'm a gay, my knees almost buckled. She was stunningly beautiful in person.
The actors playing AJ and Jason were in a green room playing video games, and both were hot as fuckin' shit, yo.
My friend had a baseball cap that said "Women in Film" on it. Stuart Damon saw it, pointed at it, and said "Good thing, too!" It was sweet.
It was so surreal being on that set. I stood in the middle of the Quartermaine living room!
By the way, my friend had a great story. One day, they were shooting a scene with Finola Hughes as Anna. When they were finished with the scene, Gloria Monty walked on set. She hugged Finola, and whispered something to her, and walked away.
Finola stood there, looking shocked, and laughing. Everyone was wondering what the hell just happened. After a bit, still laughing, Finola said "I believe I've been fired!"
Later, my friend found out what Gloria Monty had said. She whispered "I hope you enjoyed that scene, sweetie, 'cause it was your last." Hahaha.
