He seriously wants an Oscar for this bullshit?
I have to admit it is his best comedy in a long while.

I thought he was just being himself, a Knicks fanatic. But I have to say it's one of his best work.

I like the Safdie Bros. movies, but I think I'll wait for the library DVD for this. Two hours stuck in a theater with Adam Sandler?

Not quite the compliment you meant it to be considering his other work.

I was hoping to see a bunch of uncut bareback action - not some movie about diamonds.

I used to serve Sandler years and years ago. One of the nicest big time actors I've met. Told this story many times here, so sorry to repeat. I can't help but root for him.

Ma who cares, he's a terrible actor!

I enjoyed the movie well enough. It is very raw and ferocious filmmaking, but it could have been a good 30 minutes shorter. It's really just showing the same showcase of a man who is bound to ruin everything he touches, you get the point but the film spends longer than it needs to belaboring it. I started checking the time at points.

I thought he was excellent and I found the movie both energetic and exhausting. He deserves a nomination for it.

About 30 minutes too long. Sandler’s character is manic, Annoying and wears the audience down

He’s a terrible actor. And not funny. Next.

I heard most people leave the theater before the film ends.

Adam Sandler is only good when someone else is writing his parts. Funny People, Punch Drunk Love, Spanglish, et al were good performances.
Where he falters is when he writes the parts himself for his own movies.

A technically good movie, but not enjoyable to watch

Saw it yesterday. So intense I left with a tension headache. But it was great and Sandler and his teeth were excellent.

I saw him on 60min. Interesting.
Also I remember reading that he kept all his friends from NYU days and kept them employed. Loyal friend.

[quote]Bad news: Sandman gets no love from the Academy.
[quote]Good news: Sandman can stop wearing suits.
[quote]Congrats to all my friends who got nominated, especially Mama (Kathy Bates)
