"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan has broken his silence, and announced his friend, wrestling legend LANNY PROFFO - younger brother of the late Randy Savage - has died at the age of 68. No cause of death was announced.
"With a very, very heavy heart, I've been asked to let everyone know about the passing of our friend and colleague Lanny Poffo, The Genius," Hacksaw said on Instagram.
Poffo got his start in wrestling nearly 50 years ago, back in 1974. In 1985, Poffo joined the World Wrestling Federation ... where he would be known as "Leaping Lanny Poffo" and "The Genius."

The recent death of Jay Briscoe (real name Jasmin Pugh) was more immediate and tragic and unexpected to the wrassle community, so it’s had a lot more media coverage.
Perhaps Lanny would have wanted it that way, though.
