I just saw this on YT and this is essentially a British version of Judge Judy. He's kind of cute and it's interesting to watch what are essentially British versions of trailer trash. American audiences want the judges to berate the litigants, so Judge Rinder might be an interesting addition.

I first saw the Judge Rinder show when I was in London last September. Had never heard of him before that. I personally found the show very funny and entertaining. He's so outrageous and snarky in a witty way. I know a lot of people hate him but I like him. I don't know if his show would be successful in America though. If he could get enough viewers maybe but one possible problem may be that he works best with British defendants. It's a very, very British show. So if he could translate his style to work with sleazy trailer trash Americans, maybe he could be a hit here. In any case I've heard no rumors of importing the show over here to the U. S. I wish PBS would show it every week on their British Telly night. Maybe right after Keeping Up Appearances. ;)

Rinder is an attention whore, thirsty bitch. Just because he's British, he doesn't belong on PBS. Rinder would love to make it in the US, more money if successful. Meanwhile, he trails in the UK ratings (that is United Kingdom ratings folks) way, way behind our own beloved Judy Blue Book $47m pa Sheindlin who exports very well.

I think this could happen. First Judy retires in 2022 and you can be sure that the syndicators are really looking to fill her spot. Second, Americans have a weird obsession with Brits in positions of power, primarily after the ascent of Simon Cowell. We now have British judges, talk show hosts, announcers for absolutely no reason at all. I also think his gayness and femmeness reads simply British to Americans. David Young had the first Judge show for an openly gay judge and although it only lasted three seasons, the line has already been crossed and frankly, Young wasn't very good nor very entertaining.
He's very feminine in this wake-up video although we also see he has a tattoo on his arm. He's wearing a "Only Judy Can Judge Me" t-shirt, which is a bit endearing. I think he can be at least as successful as some of the other Judge shows in the States.
