"She, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, they're able to have a transactional relationship with their own party and extract concessions that benefit them and their constituencies in their state," she continued. "It's not an accident she said Arizona voters half a dozen times and we know in Arizona there were a lot of ticket-splitters in the election. Whether or not she's running in the future, it's fair to say she's trying to maintain the power that she has gained by making this move."

Her problem is that she has probably alienated so many Dems that she's likely to be primaried... well, we'll see.
| by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 9, 2022 2:29 PM |
I don't see her appeal as being great enough to win an election as an Independent either. Only Murkowski seems able to pull that off.
| by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 9, 2022 2:30 PM |
It's past time to for this Party City cunt to experience some shit. I loathe her.
| by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 9, 2022 2:32 PM |
Because her corporate owners paid her to switch to deny Democrats a safe majority. She's nothing but a whore for the highest bidder.
| by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 9, 2022 3:34 PM |
True, r5. She saw Warnock was suddenly getting attention and went into narcissist cunt mode. What can I do? I know, make a big stupid announcement about becoming Independent because of my nonexistent values.
| by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 9, 2022 4:52 PM |
She can't be "primaried" as an independent. She knows she'll never be re-nominated, so keeping her options open (as she sees them).
| by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 9, 2022 5:05 PM |
Fuck this triggering cunt.
| by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 9, 2022 5:23 PM |
She needs a proper lip balm. Cheap bitch. She should be ashamed of those flaky lips.
| by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 9, 2022 5:41 PM |
Had Drama Queen Sinema stayed in the Democratic Party, they wouldn't have a solid majority, anyway.
| by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 9, 2022 5:42 PM |
R11 How do you figure? If she caucuses with the Dems (as King and Sanders both do) they'll have a majority anyway. I suppose she could really not-caucus with them, it's not clear yet, but then committee assignments and other opportunities to actually do something would be imparied.
1. She knows she would be primaried and lose the Dem primary. She would not necessarily win an Independent, but she definitely would lost the Dem primary.
2. She loves the attention. She is patently shallow and thinks the world revolves around her.
3. She's not the brightest penny. She has monetary support from tech libertarians and takes her marching orders from them. She thinks that's good politics, I don't think she actually has many identifiable principles.
| by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 9, 2022 7:33 PM |
She has voted with the Republicans 90 percent -- 9O PERCENT!!! -- of the time, so it's not like this will change much.
Except to make us hate her even more.

Miss Rebel Without A Cause.
| by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 10, 2022 1:47 AM |
By switching to Independent, she removes the threat of a primary challenger and forces the Democrats to choose to back her as an Independent, or to take a chance on a three-way race which would almost certainly favor a Republican outcome.
She's better off becoming an Independent now rather than waiting till she loses a Democratic primary.

Russian Asset Kyrsten Simema
| by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 10, 2022 1:58 AM |
R16 That is probably the calculation. I think it wouldn't go well for Democrats even if they choose to back her because she has turned off so many Democrats that I think a lot of them wouldn't vote for her in a general election. They'd just not vote or something and when you need every vote, that's bad. I am thinking that while it's a huge headache, when they sit down, Dems will think that a three-way race is the lesser evil.
| by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 10, 2022 6:16 AM |
2024 is going to be a terrible year for Senate Democrats anyways, as they're likely to lose the majority then. Might as well just run the three-way race and see what happens.
| by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 10, 2022 6:24 AM |
R19 Yep, exactly. If Sinema thought she'd pressure the DNC to stay out of her race by switching to Ind, she should have looked at 2024 as a whole. Dems would be happy to lose AZ to get rid of her.
| by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 10, 2022 8:10 PM |
Ruben Gallego will kick her cuntbone right across the Grand Canyon.
| by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 10, 2022 8:44 PM |
It means that she won't be participating in the Democratic Primary.
The Dems need to paint her as a Republican Dark Money funded corporate "Independent", who only serves HERSELF if she runs as an Independent. And she is delusional, in Republican Crazy Land, if she thinks that Republicans OR Democrats will vote for her in AZ. Plus, she has the ability to fuck up the 2024 Lame duck when she loses.
Who is the likely Republican opponent, again?
| by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 10, 2022 9:17 PM |
True r23. I'm not sure the Democrat wouldn't win a three-way race. Who exactly does she appeal to these days? Democrats, or Republicans? Obviously it's way too early to be sure, but these days Republicans who aren't complete Trumpista morons might like her more than their own candidate, and Democrats have really grown disgusted by her as a group.
| by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 10, 2022 10:30 PM |
Sinema has no path now. None. A Dem in AZ needs overwhelming Dem support to even have a shot. Not just % but turnout too. She has no path for that as an independent. But her running as an independent also would mean the Democrat could not win
| by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 11, 2022 2:24 AM |
Given what a scheming cunt she is, I'd be surprised if there were no kompromat on her. Just fucking release it.
| by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 11, 2022 2:27 AM |
Whoever is sponsoring her wants her to ruin it for Dems by running as an Independent in the next election. She won't win, but she'll take votes from the Democratic candidate.
| by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 11, 2022 2:56 AM |
I don't think so. Her ratings amongst Dems is under 20%. Independents aren't a block. She takes votes from a crazy train Republican. What's-her-cunt Kari Lake needs to run for Senate. Two crazy cunts would cancel themselves.
| by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 11, 2022 3:53 AM |
Agree she’ll take more votes from whatever crazy GOP candidate runs in 2024 (Ms. Lake on line 1). But I think this is more about her Fox News gig. She is another narcissistic politician whose does nothing useful for the electorate. Good riddance.
| by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 11, 2022 4:53 AM |
No way. No one who knows about politics is saying this helps Democrats in 2024. All pundits are saying no pro choice bisexual woman with a 100% planned parenthood score who impeached Trump twice will get conservative or Republican votes in Arizona. She will get enough independent and moderate Democratic votes to fatally wound any Democratic candidate
| by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 11, 2022 10:12 AM |
I don’t like the fact that she voted against a minimum wage increase while doing some weird dance move and that she regularly blocks Democratic priorities, but we could get a lot worse—and we WILL get a lot worse if we split the vote.Gallegos should not run
| by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 11, 2022 7:39 PM |
She registers higher Republican than Democratic approval in every poll taken in the last few years. People need to stop asserting that it's a foregone conclusion that she siphons more votes from Democrats than Republicans. That's literally the opposite of what the evidence says and just amounts to talking out of one's ass. And anyone acquainted with the Arizona Democratic Party knows that there is no more loathed figure there than Kyrsten Sinema. She is literally more hated than Donald Trump.
| by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 11, 2022 8:00 PM |
Any Republican voting for Sinema is truly a RINO, and in Arizona that’s a small percentage of republicans. Sinema has an overall liberal record.

Registered Republicans far outweigh Dems in Arizona. It's just that enough of them plus independents have been voting against the crazy MAGA candidates like Trump, Masters and Lake in recent years.

Ruben Gallego needs to lose weight as he looks like one heartbeat away from getting struck with stroke or heart attack. It would be so unfortunate to the Democrats if it happens on the campaign trail.
