I forget how many years ago it was but I guess it was pre-VCRs. Guy I knew went to every screening of every Kate Hepburn film . being shown in chronological order at some NYC movie house. The retrospecive included most of her films. It didn't seem out of the ordinary that he, a young, gay man, would do this.

Joan Crawford is a gay icon but even though she's grown on me a little I never was that interested in her, or was a fan. But I always liked Hepburn and have seen some of her movies many times. I suspect there are other people like me out there.

"essential tremors" can be a bit of a mystery... even now no one knows exactly where they come from.
in some cases, they appear genetic
but they also appear in trauma cases from severe to mild. . . and often childhood related. which means it could be practically anything... but most often associated with head traumas, higher numbers with direct impact to the forehead. . . so in younger children, especially those lacking motor function it's tends to be perceived as normal.... it doesn't tend to be recognized as a problem until they start to learn to write. . . that's where it's more frequently discovered.
in Kat's case, it likely also explains the quiver in her voice. . .
incidentally, some people can purr in a way that other people can't do... by learning to manipulate this tremor. It can apply to singing as well but then it relies heavily on head voice to manipulate.
It's so unrecognized abecause even many doctors are ignorant of it. Some even will profess it doesn't exist because an essential tremor is not temporary and often not isolated to one part of the body, it's often a full body constant tremor even down to the eyeballs and tongue. It's just not always as visible unless one is specifically looking for it and yes, it does become more apparent with age and illness. . . the greater someone with it tries to be still it, the more aggressive it shows.
medication wise.. it's usually treated with downers.
physical therapy.. the recommendation is learn to play a stringed instrument or in this age, play video games and text all day long.
