Bed Bath and Beyond is way too Grandmaish and rural.

Buy duvet covers. You can have a few. Zara Home has dozens of new styles 2x a year.

What’s a duvet? Just saw word for first time
| by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 9, 2019 9:38 PM |
This is a duvet. Unfortunately for many, they only come in one style and one pattern. This is it. Of course, some DLers would love it.

I'm looking for a comforter with a 100% cotton shell and in a Scottish plaid (tartan) pattern.
Having trouble finding such.

Thanks, r6. Just checked WE; no go.

I would love to find a Masculine B&B. They're all too cutesy for me.

Williams Sonoma Home has some nice stuff. R5, there's some tartan too.

Thanks r1. I love the Company Store. I like striped or geometric ones
| by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 10, 2019 1:19 PM |
Company Store remains the place for a good duvet cover that will last you for years. They come in every price, fabric and color. Go to Amazon for the duvet itself. China is getting in on the duvet business. I just got one that would have easily cost me $400, and it was $125 on sale. It didn't smell groos or have any of that creepy shit a lot of textiles from China have, and I'm a picky cunt. That said, you *need* a cover, regardless of where you purchase the actual duvet from, just to keep it clean. I have one from Calvin Klein that is a gorgeous charcoal modal cotton blend, but I think that line is being discontinued.
I have a flannel cover for winter, a cotton jersey (think t-shirt) for in between seasons, and a very light cotton one for summer. Microfiber is just evil polyester, and you will sweat to death under a cover made from that shit.
I live in California, so an all temp duvet works fine and my husband and I both sleep hot (old people hot, not the other hot). Look for down, not feather. Down is much lighter yet warmer, while still being mostly all temp. With the baffle box construction you don't have that heavy weight on you.

Ralph Lauren had the best masculine bedding but they seem to have gone the way of plain and boring these days.... I had a few sets of a pattern I really loved... lasted a long time but finally had to get rid of them. Like OP, haven't been able find what I like lately.

How does one define "masculine bedding"?

OP's definition of masculine

Masculine comforter? MARY!!!

LL Bean has some plaid ones.

I like Em blue or grey. Not itchy
| by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 24, 2020 4:47 PM |
But itchy is more masculine.

I’m looking for a set of pajamas that has a robe like on The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men.
| by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 24, 2020 5:50 PM |
Agree Ralph Lauren used to have the perfect colors and textures for duvets and comforters. Not sure what happened to them. It’s so hard to find simple, monochromatic, dark neutral tone duvets and comforters.

Yeah, why don’t they make basic Check or solid pattens now?

R33 So he comes with the comforter?
| by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 24, 2020 7:41 PM |
If you're content with a solid grey comforter there are plenty on Amazon. Patterns have become harder to find in comforters. It seems that everything with a pattern is really a duvet cover not a comforter.
| by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 24, 2020 7:45 PM |
R38, he IS the comforter.

Agree r42 I use a blue and white Eddie Bauer quilt and shams.
| by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 24, 2020 10:08 PM |
I'd say an Eddie Bauer comforter is good enough for OP.
| by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 25, 2020 1:48 PM |
Just draw a penis on the cheapest comforter you can find.
What do you have to be so extra all the time, OP?
| by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 29, 2020 11:39 AM |
R48, that would be very unmasc

| by Anonymous | reply 55 | February 4, 2020 12:53 PM |
I decorate “masculine”, even though I’m a girl. I just prefer it. It suits my sensibilities.
Anyhow, I found some amazing duvet covers on E-Bay. Some where really pricey, but I don’t skimp on bedding, so that wasn’t a deterrent.
The key is having patience to find the one you want.
Believe it or not, Calvin Klein has some great stuff. Masculine-ish, and very well sewn and crafted.
Check them out, OP, or whomever.

Are duvet covers a new thing? I just heard the term
| by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 6, 2020 1:59 PM |
R8 I was about to say the same thing.
| by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 6, 2020 2:16 PM |
Duvets are not masculine. The word itself is swishy gay, gay, gay.
| by Anonymous | reply 60 | February 6, 2020 2:59 PM |
If OP was really badass he’d purchase old horse blankets or Pendleton lap throws and fling them about in a very butch manner.
And this is where We sneak in stealth faggotry by adding a cedar hope chest and an armchair that does not hold clothes.
