What happened to Dennis Quaid's face?

He drank a lot and got old.

And then Meg Ryan's curse kicked in.

When Randy escaped to Canada, he left his medication behind and Dennis made sure that not a single one went to waste.

by Anonymousreply 2September 29, 2022 1:37 PM

He would look ok if it weren't for the redness.

by Anonymousreply 4September 29, 2022 1:40 PM

WTF with his neck? What causes that?

by Anonymousreply 5September 29, 2022 1:41 PM

Fillers, Fillers, Fillers! The Musical.

by Anonymousreply 6September 29, 2022 1:41 PM

Doesn’t HGH cause that jaw enlargement? Anthony Bourdain had the same look too. The head seems to get larger.

[quote] What happened to Dennis Quaid's face?

Uh...Age, Too much sun, and ,maybe a little work or Botox here and there.

He looks fine.

by Anonymousreply 10September 29, 2022 1:54 PM

1) Too much sun. 2) He's 68. 3) He's always had that big shit-eating grin, but it's given him Joker wrinkles.

by Anonymousreply 11September 29, 2022 1:55 PM

Age. Age is what happened to his face. And from what I've heard, quite a few years of cocaine addiction.

[quote]Rich Corinthian leather!

That's FINE Corinthian leather you turd.

Pedants gonna pedant, I guess.

[quote]There is often debate as to wether Ricardo Montalban refers to the leather as soft, fine, or rich Corinthian leather. He actually says it all three ways, almost.

[quote]In the very first commercial from 1975, he refers to it as “soft”. In the two commercials from later in 1975, he refers to it as “fine”. Ricardo had so much success working with Chrysler, he remained their spokesperson for 15 years.

[quote]So later on in 1988, he did a commercial featuring a different car that offered Corinthian leather. It was the Chrysler New Yorker. In this, he mentions “Corinthian leather” in one sentence, and later on mentions “rich leather”. So while not spoken in the same sentence, an association can be reasonably implied.

Looks like cheek implants

by Anonymousreply 15September 29, 2022 2:08 PM

I prefer Randy. At least he’s funny.

by Anonymousreply 16September 29, 2022 2:08 PM

It was Ricardo Montalban, R13. Not Fernando Lamas.

Excessive alcohol consumption causes capillaries to hemorrhage; over time, this produces excessive redness of the face, neck, and chest.

That is, assuming he's not painting it on. Certain people have been known to do that.

by Anonymousreply 20September 29, 2022 3:03 PM

Too much sun in his youth compounded by some expensive cosmetic procedures. Avoid the sun and moisturize starting in your teens is the best way to prevent this.

by Anonymousreply 21September 29, 2022 3:09 PM

His cheeks were always jutting out like that, but now there are jowls below. Weird that his neck looks even redder and more weathered than his face. I'm guessing he had a facelift and neglected to do the jowls & neck.

That's Sharon Stone next to him.

He looks not bad for 68 though he should be careful about getting too much sun. But the grin makes me think that maybe Europeans are right. Americans smile way too much.

by Anonymousreply 23September 29, 2022 3:46 PM

Some type of steroids. Thin red skin + thick, veiny neck.

by Anonymousreply 25September 29, 2022 5:21 PM

He's always had practically zero fat on his body. One of the leanest men I've ever seen. Men that lean don't usually age well. There's nothing under the skin to keep the wrinkles from taking over. No padding. How he and fat Randy are brothers is perplexing. I guess it's possible Dennis starves himself that thin.

He did a commercial a couple years back, and you could tell he had a really piled on the fillers. It looked like he was wearing a mask.

High def cameras are a curse, they show every line and wrinkle. If those pics were taken with a regular definition camera he'd look fine

by Anonymousreply 31September 30, 2022 1:14 PM

I see his neck area has developed the appearance of scrotal skin. That's usually from way too much sun.

by Anonymousreply 32September 30, 2022 5:23 PM

Mostly age and hard living. Hope you make it to your late 60s OP looking like a new spring flower… not.

by Anonymousreply 33September 30, 2022 5:35 PM

Could be rosacea. Guy i know suddenly developed it when he was about 60. He can no longer allow sun to touch his face or it goes all red, lumpy and swollen.

by Anonymousreply 34September 30, 2022 6:43 PM

That photo is 5 years old--this one is from 2003. Sharon looks as young, if not younger, in 2017 (except for her hands).
