I'm done with Hanes. Wasn't good to begin with and has declined since then. What brand do you recommend for every day use? Not looking for anything too fancy. Nobody will see my shorts or briefs in the office.

Growing up, my mother bought Jockey, Hanes or Penney's house brand for me, my brother and my father.
Flash forward to the present. A friend of mine brought Hanes underwear for her grandson. When she opened the package, she noticed that the briefs lacked an elastic waistband.
She took the briefs back to the store for a refund. The clerk sighed as she issued a refund; it was not the first time that day that she had to issue a refund. The clerk sighed again and said she remembered when most of the clothes that her store sold was American made and usually had the union label sewed in

UNIQLO!

Unico makes great underwear for package presentation and coverage without looking like a complete sleaze. I have been given lots of 2xist, but they are a bit skimpy for my muscle butt. My bf likes to buy me gitch.
I wear Calvin's briefs for the soft cotton and nice texture, they really are the best. Jock straps for packaging allignment under dress pants and under shorts in the summer, boxers at home as shorts, and boxer briefs most days for the gym under shorts to keep the big piece from hanging out and the whores from falling off the treadmill.
I am Italian. Love myself in underwear and have hundreds of pairs. Cheesy but no one complains.
I only go commando under sweatpants. Decency concerns. I like it like that.

If you have a fit athletic body, you should not wear cotton underwear. You should wear a fabric that is form-fitting and complimenting. Microfiber is my favorite now. I'm betting the distinction is a fashion/brand issue.
Everyday underwear is what you wear when no one will see you and no one would judge or care what you're wearing.
All else falls into the other category when it matters how it looks, needs to have functional specificity (like for athletics), or when you know some trick will see you - I mean, you know someone somewhere decided that the hookup had to leave because they were wearing old tighty whities.

I wear boxer briefs, Jockey, non-cotton to work every day and they're so much better than the cotton underwear I used to wear. Otherwise I wear the cuter selections from American Eagle. I also have several Jocks, Bikini briefs, a few leather selections and a see through boxer that zips front and back that was given to me by this supposedly straight guy that I was fucking awhile back that I have no Idea why I keep. I'm also an underwear freak and have something like 47 pairs, not counting the selection of unworn cotton trunks in the guest room drawer in case someone needs a clean pair before he leaves. I bought somewhere around 20 on sale awhile back that I didn't realize were cotton until they arrived and I saw no reason to send them back.
My advice to the OP and to everyone is to drop the cotton, it retains moisture instead of wicking it away. has a tendency to ride up during physical activity and can chafe. That said. a lot of men refuse to try anything other than what their mother's bought them when they were growing up.

One of the boxer briefs has a pouch and man I love the way my balls settle in and my dick sits. The other boxer briefs have the nicest cotton that stectches and man, it hugs my ass so nicely and the cock and balls sit comfortable. I love the way they feel. The briefs are briefs...

Sorry to impose on your thread OP. I can't start my own. Can anyone recommend really good white sport socks, the ones that go just above the ankle. I'm diabetic and need really thick, soft socks that are very stretchy and not binding on top. I used to get these gold toe ones at Macy's then at Target that were perfect but the last ones, expensive at that, I ordered online from Macy's had the gold toe but were nothing like the old ones. They ran very tight, especially at the top. I had to take a pair of scissors and cut 3 inch slits on either side of the top of each sock or it would have damaged my circulation or cut into my leg and as a type 1 diabetic I'm just one wound away from losing a leg.
I've gotten socks made for diabetics but they are thin and cheaply made and don'e survive more than a few washings. I use bleach since I use a public washing machine in my building. The old socks lasted a couple of decades of weekly machine washing with bleach.

Hand to God the truth, I bought a five-pair set of briefs from Sears (don't remember the brand but they were $15 for a set of five) and they are the best value I've purchased in a long time. I wear them consistently and they've held up well. They come in fun patterns and colors (paisley, teal, red, etc, as well as your baic grey white and black), and they survive the washer and dryer well. It feels so light, remains cool at all all times, and never squeezes or compresses the balls — which is the curse of 90% of underwear. I wish I could find someone who made them now. Has anyone seen this fabric in boxer brief?

Urologist says briefs only for me. Suggestions?

Nope. It’s a solid fabric. I want airholes. AIRHOLES!
And the cut is waay too long on the leg.

No, I was saying I love Rhone

I'm having a pain in the dick. I've never worn anything but boxer shorts, but now they're rubbing the head of my dick the wrong way. It's getting so bad, I don't want to go anywhere. I feel as if I need to keep everything together now instead of letting my dick hang (relatively) loose.
Suggestions?

Russell makes really good underwear and athletic wear. My Russell boxer briefs for working out have outlasted both Hanes and Costco’s Kirkland brand.

It depends.
Work - Tommy Johns Business attire - Calvin Klein’s Working out - jock Bars/clubs/sleep - nothing

H&M. My best new discovery. No vulgar name advertised on the waistband. Very comfortable. I'm talking about their boxer briefs.

MeUndies. Lots of different options.

I'm ex-Hanes as well. Bought them in various styes for years and years but their quality got worse and worse.
I'm a Jockey™ man now.

Two observations:
For everyone who is suggesting white briefs, why get something expensive? Every man I’ve encountered ends up having some sort of track mark in them in no time, no matter how fastidious they are. Throw those things out as soon as you see something.
This idea of trying to present your package isn’t hot. Straight guys don’t care about this, unless they’re ghetto. Whether you want to admit it or not there’s something much hotter about a straight guy who doesn’t care versus a perfectly packaged gay man who has “curated” every aspect of his appearance.

I buy boxer briefs at TJ Maxx, whatever is on sale, 100% cotton, in black. Joe Boxer, Hanes, Kenneth Cole Reaction, all work for me. I have low hangers, but I've never noticed any kind of underwear discomfort.

I love that this thread is over six years old and still going

I'm still a tighty whitey Hanes guy. Maybe black if I'm feeling sexy.

Uniqlo is my favorite at the moment

UNIQLO has soft pima cotton boxer briefs offered in great patterns at amazing prices. You can even wear them around the pool.

I used to wear CK but about 3 years ago switched to SAXX. They are fantastic.

H&M boxer briefs.
And what’s everyday underwear OP? You don’t wear them everyday? Have special ones for when you [blank]?

Square cut or trunks are more comfortable than boxer briefs - all the benefits of both tighty whiteys and boxer briefs without the leg bunching of the boxer briefs and riding up or tight elastic leg openings of tighties.

I've tried them all and found Meundies to be the best.
Super comfortable and long lasting.

Right now, it's so called my everyday underwear is long thermals. I have 2xist or Hanes Essentials (Target).

I just want some comfortable and durable boxer briefs.

Intimissimi is not bad for what OP asks: good cuts and respectable (not flashy) style, cotton fabric, good construction and longevity, reasonable prices. Better than Hanes at its past best, if not a showy name brand in 2.5" letters.

Hanro and Bonds are my favorites.

Hanes and FOTL are so cheap if you buy the big packs on sale that their shorter life isn't a big deal. As said, avoid the dryer and bleach to extend their life.

Fruit of the Loom lasts longer and is better than Hanes. Hanes falls apart after one wash.

I just googled these and they look very high waisted, like old men's tighty whities that are worn up to the chin.. I don't see the big pouch either.
The best underwear is My Package, but I don't even know if they make them anymore and they were like $40 a pair. I thought I scored on ebay but they were faux. Fake designer I could understand, but I never knew that there was a market for counterfeit manties.
When did underwear get so expensive? Just decent underwear like Saxx, My Packag, Underarmor, or the better versions of Calvin Klein are like 30+ a pair. We are not even talking about Tom Ford or Versace.

Gays are really too much now, what happened to the artistic and innovative gays, now you're all concerned about your boxes and then go buy 34 dollar underwear?!!
