R226, I dated a guy for 5 years who got blackheads on his back, and I promise you that he was really handsome, had his shit together, kept himself in great shape, & was very hygienic.
It’s not an unusual occurrence, & I don’t see why this is the part of the story that people are leaning into.
Personally, that’s not what bothers me about any of this shit. I’d even pop my boyfriend’s black heads in the bathtub. The very least I could do for someone who treated really well,
Harvey is a man addicted to POWER. All of this is about power, not sex. Harvey had all of the resources and opportunities to be healthy. He let himself go, and became a Shrek like caricature, because he’s never had a shred of self awareness nor introspection, thereof.
This man could have EASILY paid for the best that money can buy in order to get his rocks off. But Harvey wasn’t interested in getting his rocks off. He was interested in the malevolence of scenarios where coercion and force were plot devices, in order to feel invisible.
He got away with this for decades, because people were legitimately afraid of him.
We talk about the women here. But I happen to know for a fact, that Harvey fucked over plenty of men who were writers, directors, etc., while wearing his pants, outside of a hotel room.
The man is obsessed with controlling everyone in his orbit, and many a career have not flourished, due to Harvey’s pathological quest to be treated as THE king of the film industry.
He’s a malignant narcissist, who crosses into sociopathy due to his profound disregard of basic human dignity.
The man’s a piece of shit, & I hope he serves time.
