These little pageboy London 60s hats, that The Devil Wears Prada tried to make happen.
The Chanel Charm Necklace is hideous too.

Ankle Boots. On a woman over college age. SJP we are looking at you and you will NOT ascend to fashion heaven for this faux pas.

Ankle boots? That’s a weird one, R1. I’m remembering low rise jeans with a thong intentionally exposed. Early 2000s Paris Hilton shit. Ugh.

Ankle boots are ugly and they are trashy. Are they not?

What are some good fashion trends?
I like the outfit in OP’s picture.

my father was a fashion photographer and it always amazed me how women would buy the most unflattering clothes because they were made by "someone". I never quite understood how they could look in the mirror and say, Oh that looks good.

R8 your father taught you nothing about fashion then. You are amazed that people buy extremely fashionable clothes that may not be flattering? There is a level of fashion that the hoi polloi would find grotesque but the fashionistas divine. For example, high fashion Japanese.

r9 wrong. he was in fashion in the 50's and 60's and all his stuff and the fashion he did was great. there is a difference between fashion and ridiculousness. your pic above depicts the ridiculousness. they can call it whatever they want including fashion and it is art but not all art is meant to be worn. artistically it is great but would look absurd with someone wearing it in real life scenario.

The bell-bottom sleeves that are in fashion right now. I don't know what they are called, but every women's top has these really loose sleeves. It makes it impossible to shop. I just want a normal shirt!

Virtually anything Meghan Markle wears but especially her coats. So unflattering. Sad!

Those hats in that Andy wears in “The Devil Wears Prada” are ‘newsboy’ hats, not ‘pageboy’ hats.
And Andy/Anne looked freaking fabulous in them.

Completely agree with R16, the "look " in Op's pic is fucking fabulous

I'm w/R16.... On men & women, they're classic and "jaunty". They work great for either dress or casual wear. In England, and the rest of The British Isles they're favoured by all sorts. Better than American baseball caps 24/7.

What's wrong with ankle boots? I hate those hideous boots that go up to the cooch it's usually worn by someone who is 5'2 fat yet inexplicable with a flat ass

Ankle boots look fab IF they're worn correctly. Think leggings or tights and a dress or pants that cover the top of the boot. The above pic looks bad because bare skin is exposed. Ankle boots worn correctly should lengthen the leg.

R13, yes to the bell sleeve. Places like T.J. Maxx are littered with them. You pick up a sweater or shirt that looks nice at first only to discover it has bell sleeves.

Devils Wears Prada and SATC were both styled by Patricia Field, who's a hippie lesbian. Once you know that the outfits all make sense.

I'm a fan of bell sleeves but not of the big, bulky, chunky sweaters that are designed to be many sizes to big.
Also why do women's clothes in winter only come in black, light grey, medium grey, dark grey, and maybe dark olive? I'm also getting a little sick of burgundy which seems to be the only other color choice for the past few winter seasons. Brownish-nude pink just doesn't cut it. Know it's called "Miillenial Pink."

R17 is right. I've seen men wearing that so-called style as well, and it's equally hideous on them.
Speaking of style, there hasn't really been any set "look" in quite some time, outside of "homeless person casual." It saddens me.
