The rude, boring, or scary true stories.

R45, that wouldn't have worked. The police in that city would never have come out for a call that someone was sitting in a car doing nothing. About 4-5 weeks after he started, the burglaries started and continued for a few weeks. At that point, anything remotely suspicious in my neighborhood was being investigated because the cops really wanted to catch the burglars.

Anyway, another scary one. I had been chatting online with a guy for a few weeks and we finally set up a meeting at his house. This was going to be a hookup. I show up and the guy seems very nervous. He was sweating profusely. It was a really hot summer, so he said the basement would be cooler. We went down there and I sat on a chair while he sat on a couch. He asked if I wanted something to drink. I said he was going to have a cocktail, but I just asked for water. When he brought the water back, I thought it smelled funny. I didn't drink it and just set it down.

We chatted for a bit, but he kept looking at my water glass, acting nervous, then he asked if I was going to drink the water. This guy was a lot bigger than me, seemed weird, and I was trying to figure out what to do. I finally just decided to be direct. I said I thought the water smelled funny, I suspected he put something in it, and he was clearly nervous and sweating. He said he hadn't put anything in the water, so I picked it up, walked over to him, handed it to him and told him to drink it if that was true. He just looked down. I headed for the stairs but he was right behind me, pleading with me to stay, that he really hadn't put anything in the water.

When I got upstairs, he got in front of me before I got to the door. I calmly talked to him and he started going on about how he'd just broken up with his long-term boyfriend, he was confused, sad, etc. I was sympathetic but slowly worked my way to the door. I got to the door and told him I needed to leave. He didn't stop me but followed me to my car. I got in the car, cracked the window a bit and talked a bit more. I had started the car and it was running. When I went to back out, he yelled for me to wait, there was something behind my car. He got behind my car. I was looking in the rearview mirror and couldn't see him. Then he popped up next to my driver's side window and tried to get his hand in the cracked window. I just slammed the car in reverse and got the fuck out of there.

I never saw the guy again, nor did I see him online anymore as he must have deleted his profile. I don't know what he was up to, but like the other guy, I'm glad I didn't find out!
