Unfortunately, the Nelson estate put the preservation of the show itself in the hands of their idiot cousin Sam because apparently nobody else wanted the job. That’s why the plans to bring the whole show to DVD after restoring it fell through.

Sam has been trying get the rights back. David was usually the "responsible" Nelson, you should blame him.
Ricky was cute. David was handsome.
Tracy does look like Jerry Seinfeld. Not a great accent (that grating voice didn't help) but not a noxious presence.
the twins were living in the car of one of them for awhile. Kris was a money pit and batshit crazy for awhile.

Ricky was on the downlow when alive and had the hots (never acted upon) big time for friend and actor, Kent McCord who was about as straight as they came. I think that situation caused Ricky much heartache.

Ricky could've been one of the most beautiful men ever, looking the way he did, he would have to work really hard not to become famous. I always found it interesting that Tracy was never a beauty despite her father, uncle (Mark Harmon) and aunt (Kelly Harmon--she of the Tic-Tac commercial from the '80s) were all gorgeous. That said, I will always hold a special place in my heart for Tracy if only because Jennifer DeNuccio is one of my all time favourite tv characters.

Ozzie helped out friends of the cast who needed work. One of them (Dennis Holt) became very wealthy and basically employed David for many years. David's production company which did commercials and occasional longer form stuff was part of Holt's Western International Media.

They were awful. It's one thing to have an illegitimate baby (and no getting married after the deed doesn't legitimize it) but then they act all goody goody about it.
The acting all goody goody makes them horrible. Plus Ozzie used to call David fatso and tell him how awful he was compared to his good looking brother. In reality, Rick was drug out of his mind most of his life.
Then when Mrs Rick Nelson was going to get her kids taken away, she made up lies about Pam Dawber being a cokehead so she'd drop the custody suit.
The whole family was a clusterfuck.
