So, a cute 23 year old twink TikToker I followed made a video saying he knew something (in a good way) about Internet personality Tyler Oakley and I responded in a comment, especially since he only came out two years ago, that I was surprised he even knew who Tyler was. Maybe it just feels like a decade because social media moves quickly, but it seems like it’s been a long while since he’s had any relevance and I lump him with Shane Dawson, Perez Hilton and Davy Wavey as antiquated, problematic and deleterious to the Gay community and definitely not role models for LGBTQ+ youth. Surprisingly, a lot of, claiming to be, young people came to his defense and said they knew, liked and watched him. I found this article that seems to back me up. I just find him very skeevy and don’t see why he would have much of a following beyond a few old hangerons? DL, what do you think of him?

Tyler Oakley just grew up. He is a boring, middle-aged gay that still tries to be cool. Shame he could not make the transition to a more mainstream platform, it seemed like that was where he was heading almost following the Ross the Intern model. Didn't happen. He is out there living his life, let us let boring gays lie.
Now, Trish Paytas, who called him "irrelevant"., is a scabbed herpes sore of a human being. Almost shocked that she hasn't become a DL mascot as she is an awful person who says vile things but can't take being the butt of the joke that she is.

It is perfectly acceptable R18. I like it as a moment of pause to give a reader a chance of adjustment to prepare for what’s to come. It also adds intimacy between the writer and reader as if we are well known to each other and picking up a conversation that we’ve been having. I find it very welcoming at the start of a thread or within a thread as each posting is a continuation added to the main idea.
