I love Eddie and I miss him being in (adult) movies. I also wasn't surprised by the tranny scandal because if you paid attention to his work, he was obsessed with butt play - the Honeymooner's bit in Delerious and also, he had a whole song on his first record about putting things up your butt; he even says, I shit you not, "put me in your butt".

I loved Eddie back in the day! Movies, tv, comedy, he was the best. I had his comedy albums.
he was funnier before he had kids, then his choices were too lightweight for me. Chris Rock sort of took up his mantle.

Eddie did some awful jokes on Delirious about gays spreading AIDS. I don't know if he ever apologized. And of course he used the f-word everywhere in his early days. But he did have a comedy album before that, circa 1982 (I don't think a video of it was ever released) where he did a really funny gay joke. After saying he'd sometimes pick on gays when he was with his friends, he then riffed that it was really a bad idea because gays spend a lot of time at the gym and just might beat the shit out of you. "That's some embarrassing shit to get beat up by a f-."
