STRAWBERRY FIELDS SANDY FARINA is DEAD TO ME!

She died on November 15. Her single acing credit was as strawberry fields in the 1978 film disaster Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. She had a songwriting credit in Barbra Streisands Wet album “kiss me in the rain” and sang commercial jingles.

Peter Frampton wrote a nice tribute to her on his Facebook page.

I remember the major diss when Dionne Warwick fielded Hands Across America solo on Solid Gold in 1986.

I preferred Blanche Devereaux’s Kiss Me in the Shower.
